  No point crying over spilt milk?

  There’s been a lot in the news over the summer about dairy farmers protesting over low milk prices. Many have been up in arms, battling against the pricing war to avoid making a pint of milk at a loss. Some even wanted to cause problems during the London 2012 Olympic Games with further strike action.

  Here at Parsnips and Pears, we have a lot of sympathy for the dairy farmers affected by this situation, and believe it’s really important to give them a fair deal.

  Fans Of Five A Day Flock To Local Company

  A new Nottingham(shire) based vegetable box company has signed up over 200 customers in the last eight weeks, following a hugely successful pilot scheme. The business is now preparing for a full launch across the NG4-6 and NG8-16 postcode areas on 3rd September 2012, expanding its services even further at the start of next year.

  Sara Barlow is the force behind this new business; “This is honest to goodness, great quality, great tasting seasonal produce delivered directly to the door .... and that common sense offer has really resonated with our customers.
